  • SCSST + new Library website

    • The way that services are listed, there is no “scholarly communications” services.

    • More about services around copyright, publishing, OER, etc.

    • “Scholarly Communication” as a term is broad and jargon--would not necessarily guide them as a heading.

    • Everyone concludes that this is fine.

    • There will be sections for each of the teams on the website, it will be an entity but not a comprehensive page.

    • The services will be finalized by January and Cynthia will work on the group entities.

    • Annie emailed Anne Harlow with a follow-up about a musical performance

    • Emily emailed Jill Luedke and will follow-up

    • Annie spoke with Brian Boling for movies

    • Possible “Can I Use That Photo Workshop?” with Caitlin Shanley and Urooj Nizami

    • “Amplifying Your Research” by Annie

    • “Copyright Basics for Grad Students” by Annie and Sarah Jones

    • Annie and Kristina will start adding them to LibCal

  • IR

    • Metadata Team Subgroup drafted metadata MAP is being reviewed

    • Further progress on draft of policies and procedures which will be shared out

    • Possible go live in fall 2019?

  • Open pedagogy session?

    • Urooj Nizami wants to facilitate a session for liaison librarians (in May? Spring break? End of April?)

    • Possibly half day? Over a series of dates?

    • She is working on a fleshed out description for January

  • OpenCon Philly 2019

    • Sometime in October

    • Emailing about locations: Science History Institute, Library Company, PMA, APS

    • Would the new library building be available? Student Center, Morgan Hall, or another space as backup?

    • Do we need multiple rooms?

  • Investment in Open Report Next Steps

    • Open Access was specifically the scope

    • Confirm that we are not expanding with justification before distributing widely

    • Sharing initial findings within library first and state that the report is an iterative process, excited to share it!

  • Staff Open Forum for Schol Comm Learning Outcomes

    • No decision on sharing it yet, but don’t just want to send out list

      • Best way to share it before fall semester via forum?

      • Preliminary feedback from Learning & Student Success SST and unit heads

    • Stephanie will continue working on rubric and send it to group for review

  • Staff Event for Open Education

    • Can do this January 18th

    • Kristina will follow up with Steven Bell about the date and full hour
