Schol Comm Skill Areas Form

  • We currently have 10 responses, looking for 5-10 more
  • Annie will reach out to unit heads asking them to send out a reminder to folks to fill out the Schol Comm Skills Form

Paywall: Business of Scholarship Documentary

  • Idea: screen this documentary for staff in fall 2018
  • Question: How long is it? Should we cut it down?
  • Should we have a discussion with it? Perhaps with Brian?
  • Could we have snacks?

Projects for Maria

  • Annie has put together final list of projects for Maria. Give any feedback on the document to her before the end of the week

IR

  • What is primary purpose? Is there tension between access and preservation?
  • What other things should we be thinking about?
    • Reproducibility: Is that a requirement for depositing date? Or a service we could offer?
    • Do we want to include metadata only for faculty articles that have not been deposited? (General consensus is no)
  • Intellectual content: do we need a "stage 1" and "stage 2" (for more complicated output/file types)?
  • We did not make it to talking about user communities...
  • Rachel let us know about upcoming Samvera meeting. She will attend and report back.
