ORCID Table Recap

  • Tabled from 10:00 am-3:00 pm in CST on Tuesday, November 13

    • Spoke with 46 people and registered 9 new ORCID iDs

    • Spoke with the most people during the 12:00-1:00 hour

    • RDSSST folks participated (Fred, Gretchen, Will)

  • No seating in CST meant fewer people that day

  • Fred’s favorite tabling experience!

  • Spoke with grad students, postdocs, undergrads, and faculty

  • Question from faculty: “How do I use this for all the things I’ve already published to get in one place?”

    • Maybe we need a guide on this?

  • Postcards were good takeaways and poster drew folks to the table

  • Outreach for spring

    • Can we plan our tables at events where grad students and faculty are?

    • Potential symposiums/conferences: Dentistry research day, Barnes conference

    • Ask liaisons to find out schedules for department meetings, collegial assembly

    • Note: we will wait until January to figure out dates for spring

    • Can we promote ORCID along with Symplectic Elements?

      • At this point, probably not

Learning Outcomes for Teaching

  • Group worked on revising list of learning outcomes, will continue to do so at next meeting (11/26)

  • Once we get a good draft, what’s the next step?
