General:
- No meeting next week (June 25)
- Unit heads are following through with the Scholarly Communication Skills document. Deadline for responses to Google form is July 16th. We will follow up to remind folks to fill it out in a few weeks.
2018-2019 Outreach/Events:
- We have a tentative plan for all of the events/outreach we want to do for 2018-2019
- We still are waiting to plan staff education workshops
- Open Access Week is also still a little up in the air–hoping we can collaborate with other Philly-area libraries for one event that week
- Stephanie noted the HSL is beginning to plan their activities for OA Week
- One activity will be to have students make zines. She will share the zine brochure from OpenCon Virginia
Libraries' Investment in Open Project:
- Project will include a report and a spreadsheet with numbers
- Topics covered will include:
- OA Collections (Rebecca and Kristina)
- Open Publishing (Annie and Stephanie)
- Open-Focused Membership Organizations (Annie)
- Open Infrastructure (Emily and Rachel)
- Should we include amount spent by Libraries on digitization?
- Emily will reach out to find out what SCRC and Blockson think about this
- Nancy willing to help us calculate staff time. Do we want to include?
- We will come back to this
- GOAL: Finish the report by the end of August
Institutional Repository:
- Group discussed the first two sections of the Brainstorming IR Policies + Procedures Document
- Document was also shared with RDSSST. They will discuss on Thursday.

- SCSST will devote our entire meeting to this on 7/2 or 7/8
Action items
- Kristina De Voe (Unlicensed) will email CHAT about Canvas + OA fall workshop
- Emily Toner will email Margery and Diane about SCRC/Blockson participation in Libraries' Investment in Open Project
- Kristina De Voe (Unlicensed) will reach out to Jill and Caitlin about their zine workshop this fall. Can we collaborate in some way?
- Stephanie Roth (Unlicensed) will share zine brochure from OpenCon Virginia
- Stephanie Roth (Unlicensed) Kristina De Voe (Unlicensed), Emily Toner Rachel Appel (Unlicensed) Rebecca Lloyd and Annie Johnson (Unlicensed) will add to repository document, particularly the section on user communities
- Annie Johnson (Unlicensed) will email Gretchen about collaborating on an OSF workshop for Open Access Week
- Rebecca Lloyd will reach out to Urooj about her interest in doing a workshop in the spring about the Textbook Affordability Project
