Gabe surveyed library person pages [Doc]
The most common thing embedded were libguides. Blog content was far less common
This is probably because Springshare makes this so easy
Seperate section for springshare profiles and embeds
Separate section for staff directory lists that separate public facing and back end staff
What about people with tons of libguides (too many to display)? What are solutions? Ideas:
Just the ‘top four’
The top four most viewed
What about people with tons of blog posts? What are solutions? Ideas:
The natural solution is to list them chronologically. The most recent five should suffice
Will blog posts and research guides be presented in one feed or in separate sections?
Related: is an amalgamated feed even possible?
Related: is it worth it to include blogs?
Decision: Cynthia will send a survey to librarians about person pages.
How will the button color change when we go into the responsive design?
Decision:
Main desktop view buttons: will be different colors
Responsive or mobile view: they’ll all be one color (all the CTAs, etc.)
Library hours- Decision:
They’ll be left as is in terms of the text wrapping
Chris will experiment with ways to highlight the current days’ hours
Open Question:
In the feed we need
Subject areas
Libguides
… but do we need blog posts and events?
