Assistive Technology

Still working with LTS team on this.

Talk to a librarian

It looks like this page is ready to go. LRS has given a substantial amount of input.

  • this page is specifically about how to talk to a librarian, not necessarily what people can ask about at the desk

  • The service is “Booking an appointment” - the list of service desks and chat, email, etc should be on the contact page.

  • talk to LRS about modifying the email from LibCal to say when/how the room will be communicated to them.

  • @Cynthia Schwarz (Unlicensed) will follow up with Steven and LRS heads to discuss this new development.

    • Still need the descriptions, but it would go on a different page.

What goes into each CMS (JS)

https://tulibdev.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/LWR/pages/771325959/Web+Content+Style+Guide – do we need to amend this? E.g. Annie’s request for IR content in LibGuides

mtg with other CMS admins?

Website content/design (JS)

Right now website content is living in various places – the wireframes, the google docs, the actual live website, the current website. Can we streamline this in some way?

Scan, photocopy, print (BD)

pared this down, but there is still a lot of content, esp for printing

  • Don’t have B+W v color how-tos

  • Did I cut too much?

  • If printing costs/quota are university policies--should we link there rather than explicate on our webpage?

  • Or should I link to libguide? (will need to be updated)

  • Need to add locations?

Link to ITS Printing info: https://its.temple.edu/search/temple/printing

Using the ASRS Book Robot (BD)

hold for now, or draft something?

  • postpone until a later point

Alumni services (BD)

drafted

  • Stakeholders for review:

  • Postpone until next week - how does this service overlap with other things related to alumni?

African-American Studies

Blockson maintains their own “research guide” that is actually a Drupal page

  • perhaps this should be made into a LibGuide?

  • Also, once website and LibGuides are in the same search, this may be confusing to users

  • @Cynthia Schwarz (Unlicensed) will reach out to both Blockson and Latanya about this content.
