Updates to Search Everything box

Objectives

• Update the text within the box to be more descriptive.

• highlight that website content is searchable

• make advanced search easier to find

Examples of what other libraries have done.

Recommendation for text in the search box: “Books, articles, website and more…”

Next Steps

• The search box discussion is on the docket for the next Web Oversight Group meeting on 11/11.

Administrative Backend

• There’s still a lot that we can do on the backend

• For the admin level, update to show all three layers

• When logging in, take user to that page - see https://tulibdev.atlassian.net/browse/MAN-1003

• We should start moving towards a publishing workflow for website content

• Can we add more colors to the backend?

• spruce up the landing page

• create a visual mockup of the admin landing page based on balsamiq wireframes
