CSST Meeting Notes 12/19/18

Elsevier Update

• New offer from Elsevier that allows us to retain historical pricing for subscribed journals.
• An announcement about the forthcoming change in access went to subject selectors on 12/18 and pushed out to their liaison program.
  

Taylor & Francis EBS

• Negotiations continuing and expected to be completed sometime in January.

Springer Purchase on Demand

• Working out how best to display these in discovery layer.  Still in negotiation with Springer on which title packages we would continue to directly purchase.

PALCI Collective Collection

• Group set up b PALCI to consider steps toward strengthening PALCI's collective collections has not been active.  However, another group focused on prospective acqusition of ebooks has been quite active.

Hathitrust

• Hathi trust sent us a list of 34k books that they recommend we retain.  We will review the list and get back to them with feasibility.  So far it appears that around 18% we can’t commit to.  Ambler will be included in the project and HSL will not be.

Collection Development policy

• Policy will be sent to Steven & Joe for a final review
