  • OR Testing for Metadata Subgroup

  • Rachel will email subgroup today 1/6 as a reminder that the site is going up any day and I’ll email when to start testing

    • This is just the first round of testing to make sure everything is set up appropriately

    • If you don’t have time, it’s okay there will be other testing periods

    • Set up feedback in Google doc

Testing steps

  • Check field configurations against the MAP; proof fields as implemented

    • How things look on front-end vs back end

    • Search examples or record example

    • Facet examples, data quality

  • Explore the site and id other metadata and metadata-adjacent issues and opportunities

    • General UI and how things look

  • Other testing, defined by the metadata group, as appropriate.

  • Evaluate DC and QDC OAI-PMH endpoints

  • Evaluate test ETD ingest via SWORD

Scheduling

  • The whole group is participating, but the timeline is still coming together. We’ll need to test with whoever’s available during the timeframe.
