Outreach and Communications SST: March 20, 2019, 10 am

Present: Sara Wilson, Kathy Lehman, Serkaddis Alemayehu, Rachel Cox, Jill Luedke, Kim Tully



Meeting goals: next AMA, discussion of toolkit



  1. Updates from group

    1. Reminder of Assessment COP at 3pm today



  1. AMA

    1. A third successful AMA in the books!

      1. Anything to review or discuss? Some people are following up and providing more information later, we should encourage guests and participants to continue the conversation later; pace was good, sometimes difficult to judge when to step in and ask a question to keep things moving; suggested that we make language stronger in announcement e-mail so that people who are uncomfortable asking questions can send them in advance

      2. One survey response asking for more clarification on guest computing

    2. Looking forward: next? Collections strategy?

Discussion of future AMA topics.

Suggestions: 1) DSC and their current and new services in Charles, but potentially include HSL as well for branch library inclusion, 2) Service Team led by Nancy (still too newly formed?), 3) Blockson - Serkaddis volunteered that Dr. Turner and the Blockson staff may be interested in doing one soon, 4) possibility of a Ask Anyone Anything format on the AMA channel 5) proposal to ask the Dean in the future to do a monthly AMA (decided that we need to have a solid record of a few more successful AMAs first)
