Research Information Management Group/SE

Charge

The Team is currently charged with developing in-depth expertise in the Symplectic Elements platform, a Research Information Management System. It will explore possible workflows to support Schools and Colleges as they implement Elements. Areas of activity may include: bibliographic database expertise, search setting optimization, data mapping, troubleshooting of publication record issues, training and consultations, and in some cases, data entry workflows. The Team will also explore coordination models with subject-specific liaison librarians to define their roles in relation to the project. Finally, designated members of the Team will participate in and liaise with the campus-wide Symplectic Elements implementation group (Co-Project Management, Tech Team, and Functional Team).

As the campus-wide project evolves, moving from pilot to production, this charge may need to be adjusted to respond to changing needs.
