Loan of Non-Circulating Materials

Certain materials in the library collection do not circulate.  One reason some materials do not circulate is to ensure that they are available for quick consultation by all library patrons, rather than kept in the hands of a single individual for an extended period of time.  In order to determine if the circumstances warrant an exception to the item’s non-circulating status, service desk staff should contact the appropriate person to approve or disapprove a loan of those items.   The approver should fill out the approval form here, and print a copy to send to the circulation desk with the patron and materials to be loaned.
