Goals

  •  

  • Run the DSpace customization doc past @Rachel Cox (Unlicensed) and rest of team.

  • Finalize plan for customizing the Mirage2 theme used atop our DSpace-based IR, ScholarShare

  • For reference: technical documentation on customizing Mirage2

  • Discuss what was discussed in the Logo JIRA Ticket and review the Logo Options

  • Roboto font recommended. To do: check if Roboto is available. Second best: Ariel/Helvetica

  • All work on this will be tracked through this Jira ticket

  • Two ‘logos’ are needed: one for print, and one that comprises the header of the website. Decision: The one for print/marketing will not be made until after the soft launch.

  • Decision: logo will say TUScholarShare + Beta. Will be white on red. @Rachel Cox (Unlicensed) will do a mockup incorporating these changes, then communicate them to the team. The revised ‘TULibraries logo will go in the footer’. While the header will be cherry, the footer will have a white background, as in out-of-the-box dspace. @Rachel Cox (Unlicensed) will upload

  • Decision: for the soft launch the default dspace fonts will be retained

 

Action items

@Rachel Cox (Unlicensed) will redesign the website header, informing the group when she’s done and posting the logos via this Jira ticket. She’ll also provide the hex values for the colors selected
@Alicia Pucci will make sure the hex values and graphics are in this document
@Chin U. Kim will implement the changes via the document
