• Good Reasons to Run: Women and Political Candidacy, edited by Shauna L. Shames, Rachel I. Bernhard, Mirya R. Holman, and Dawn Langan Teele

• We launched the book series “Intersectionality.”
• Press books won 10 awards in FY20, including a ”Best Book of 2019” award by Foreign Affairs for Challenging Beijing's Mandate of Heaven, by Ming-sho Hos and a CHOICE Outstanding Academic Title award for Architectures of Revolt, edited by Mark Shiel.
• The Association of University Presses Equality, Justice, and Inclusion Committee, launched the EJI Community Read, designed to foster thoughtful reading and discussion about equity and inclusion within our community. Invisible People, by Alex Tizon, was one of two titles selected for the inaugural year.
• On May 1, Literary Hub posted "The Best of the University Presses: 100 Books to Escape the News," featuring Shakespeare and Trump by Jeffrey Wilson and Whose Game? by Rebecca Kissane and Sarah Winslow.
• Press books were reviewed, featured, or excerpted, or authors interviewed in, among others, Inside Higher Ed, PBS, The New York Times, Publishers Weekly, NPR, The Huffington Post, Forbes, MSNBC, Library Journal, the Philadelphia Inquirer, WHYY, local television stations, Lapham’s Quarterly, Foreword Reviews, as well as numerous scholarly journals.
• We’re excited to have hired an excellent Acquisitions Editor in Shaun Vigil and to have promoted Ashley Petrucci to Senior Production Editor.
• All titles in the NEH Humanities Open Book Program were published on the Press website and on our Manifold platform.
• The first North Broad Press open textbook was published. Structural Analysis, by Felix Udoeyo, was posted on the Press website and on Manifold, where it was the first textbook published on the platform.

FY 18-19

• We started 4 new series: Dis/Color, Judicial Politics, Political Lessons From American Cities, and Studies in Transgression
• Press books won 7 awards in FY19, including an American Book Award for The Man-Not and a CHOICE Outstanding Academic Title award for Healing Our Divided Society.
• Press books were reviewed, featured, or excerpted, or authors interviewed in, among others, Inside Higher Ed, The Chronicle of Higher Ed, The New Republic, The New York Times, The Guardian, NPR , Newsweek ,The Atlantic, Ms. Magazine, the Philadelphia Inquirer, WHYY, five local television stations, Basketball Times, Foreword Reviews, The Progressive, Foreign Affairs, as well as numerous scholarly journals.
• We’re excited to have hired two excellent new staff: Ashley Petrucci as Editorial Assistant/Rights and Contracts Coordinator, and Sarah Munroe as Acquisitions Editor.
• Twenty-three more titles in the NEH Humanities Open Book Program were released on the Press website. There are three more to come.
• We were chosen as one of 10 publishers to participate in a pilot program using the Manifold digital platform. Manifold titles can be enriched with links to texts, research materials, resources, and archives, as well as audio, video, and multimedia. When the pilot ends we will continue using Manifold as a platform for all Press open access books (e.g., Knowledge Unlatched, NEH) and all North Broad Press books.

FY 17-18

• The Press published 45 books and 4 journal issues in FY18.

• Press books won 8 awards in FY18 and were reviewed, featured, or excerpted in Publishers Weekly, Inside Higher Ed, the Chronicle of Higher Education, NPR, The Philadelphia Inquirer, WHYY, The Washington Post, Time magazine, as well as numerous scholarly journals.
• The first 6 titles in the NEH Humanities Open Book Program were released on the Press website with new forewords and covers.
• The remaining 24 will be released over FY19, with 5 more released as of 8/24/18.
• Three Press titles of the nine submitted were accepted for the next round of Knowledge Unlatched. Over 1250 titles were submitted, of which 35% were selected. Press titles have been included in every round.
• The Press was one of six presses invited by the Association of University Presses to participate in a pilot with Altmetric on assessing the gathering of altmetrics for books.
• The Press and University of Michigan Press participated in a pilot with the Library of Congress on using ONIX to create electronic CIP records. This pilot is ongoing.
