Website Editorial Roles and Procedures
Website Content Strategy Team Roles and Responsibilities
Members of the Web Content Strategy Team will serve to advise on both new content and new features being considered for the library website. To ensure quality control, Strategy Team members will edit content as needed for clarity, grammar, spelling, usage and style, as well as to conform to the university's naming conventions and branding. They will also consult on design and development, ensuring best practices are followed and standards are met for usability, navigation and accessibility.

Functional Area Editors and Reviewers
Each functional area within the library may designate content editors and/or reviewers.
Editors and Reviewers will work collaboratively to:
- Oversee content creation and publishing for your assigned section of the site
- Serve as a resource for standards, best practices and guidance on brand, visual identity, information architecture, content and accessibility
- Coordinate with the Web Content Strategy Team to stay up to date on the web technology, new web features and new functionality
- Ensure that all published content is accurate, up-to-date and compliant with policies, guidelines and standards
- Participate in the library web governance structure including a regular content review
- Participate in professional development opportunities through regular training sessions

Governance Policies and Guidelines
Account Management
After completing the required training, editors and reviewers will be issued an account by a member of the Library Technology Development. These credentials are tied to your Accessnet Username and can only be used by the assignee. LTD is able to monitor who has made changes to what content.
Content Management System
All library content is managed using the approved content management system. Additional sites, upon approval, may be linked to when appropriate. All content editors are expected to ensure all hyperlinks are live, tested, and appropriately implemented.
Written Content
To ensure consistency across all library websites, written content must meet standards for word usage, voice and tone, and styling and presentation. These standards are outlined in the Web Style Guide. Content that does not comply with these standards will be subject to modification or removal at the discretion of Library Technology Development.
Training
Site Editors and Content Contributors must complete training (TBD) before receiving login credentials.
