Review of Services
We recently created a comprehensive list of services. Related entities have been identified and now individuals and small groups are working on describing the services. This is a very involved process that involves a lot of people and will likely take us up to the beta launch of the site to complete all of the service descriptions.
This week, I achieved a personal milestone in this project. After months of explaining this project to others while trying to gain an in-depth understanding myself, I overheard a (non-tech) colleague perfectly explain the project to another group of library staff.
Production website
Work continues on structuring the website to handle the relationships between all of the entities. For example, one person can belong to many groups, groups can have many people and a service happens in a space which lives in a building. Many thanks to Steven Ng, Chris Doyle and Chad Nelson for working out these complicated relationship dynamics.
Design of the Library Website
The core design team is closing in on a design that we think will work. Concurrently, we are working on outlining a page structure what what will need to go on each page and sub-page. Many thanks to the entire core design team, but especially Rachel Cox and Gabe Galson for their work on this.
